Pet hospital campaign for PDSA
Posted by Pin-x-up (TIm) August 2011

The national charity PDSA approached us to help inject some creative design ideas into their campaign to raise funds for the construction of three new pet hospitals. An A5 format was decided on that folds out twice to present a ‘need’, ‘reason’ and then a ’solution’, leaving potential supporters with a full A3 sheet in their hands. We also produced posters to support the campaign with all items personalised for three separate locations across the UK. Pin-up is very excited to report that we’re about to start work on another project for PDSA so expect more news soon.

Marketing material for Pure Power Solutions
Posted by Pin-x-up (TIm) August 2011

Our existing client Pure Power Solutions recently commissioned us to design a collection of marketing material. We started with an A4 Sales brochure to inform customers about the wide range of services on offer, supported by an A5 flyer and a clever little A6 fold out leaflet with some hard hitting facts and strong imagery to make potential customers sit up and think. Take a look at more of our work for Pure Power in our Portfolio.

Annual review for FARM-Africa
Posted by Pin-x-up (TIm) July 2011

We were delighted when FARM-Africa asked us to design their annual review for a second year. This type of project is just what we like and couldn’t wait to get stuck into the concept work, thinking of ways to move on from last year but still maintain the FARM-Africa brand. Maintaining the design concept through several changes of content was quite a challenge, but we like a challenge and the hard work was well worth it.
“Thank you so much for being so great on this year’s annual review, they arrived today and look amazing.”

Annual Review for Fields in Trust
Posted by Pin-x-up (TIm) May 2011

First I’d like to welcome our new client ‘Fields in trust’ (FIT) who are a charity who help communities protect and preserve playing fields by providing practical support and advice. The Annual Review is a wonderfully compact 170mm square, wrapped in grass and printed onto an un-coated FSC certified paper. This project was great fun to work on, all the way from the initial design ideas through to the final job delivered to their door in London. We hope to be working with FIT again very soon.
This is what their Communications Director, Helen, had to say:
“We found Pin-up via Google amongst dozens of other design companies, they’re portfolio was strong and we felt very comfortable after out initial meeting with Tim. The initial design concepts met our brief perfectly and the quality of the final document is outstanding. The whole process was made very easy thanks to Pin-ups expert knowledge and flexibility when timescales became tight”

Sony World Photography Awards – Exhibition
Posted by Pin-x-up (TIm) May 2011

On a trip to meet clients in London I took the opportunity to visit the Sony World Photography Awards 2011 winners exhibition. It’s well worth a look, but In my opinion the Bruce Davidson Retrospective is an even better exhibition, both at Somerset House until the 22nd May.
The picture above isn’t at the exhibition, It was taken by me while on a trip to Japan at the busiest pedestrian crossing in the world (Shibuya – Tokyo). Sadly it hasn’t won an award… not yet.

Website for MP Building Assessors
Posted by Pin-x-up (TIm) March 2011

Pin-up recently completed a website re-design project to help MP Building Assessors Ltd promote the many building assessments they offer and display the latest projects they have completed. Our client is also a big ‘tweeter’ and is well regarded for this within their industry, therefore a customized twitter feed was a must for the home page. The website also allows each page to be easily shared via, twitter, facebook and Linked In. Our client appreciated the importance of keeping the design simple yet striking, so we went away and came up with something with a bit of an ‘edge’. View website: www.mpbuilding.co.uk
